Running Back

Devin Neal // Stephen Lew, Imagn Images

Saints RB Devin Neal (2%) will start in New Orleans for the forseeable future after Alvin Kamara suffered an MCL sprain. In Kamara’s absence, Neal played 74% of the snaps en route to racking up 61 scrimmage yards on 12 touches. His upside is limited in this offense, but the Saints have one of the easiest RB schedules remaining with the Dolphins, Buccaneers, Panthers, Jets and Titans, per Yahoo’s Justin Boone. Bid 50%.

Steelers RB Kenneth Gainwell (57%) took advantage of a banged up Jaylen Warren, leading the team’s backfield in snap share (52%) and rushing yards (92) while reaching his 2nd-highest yardage total of the season. He also paced Pittsburgh backs in routes run (18), targets (six), and receiving yards (30), per RotoBaller’s Phil Clark. He’ll be limited any time Warren plays, but he’s still a high-end handcuff with FLEX appeal. Bid 25%.

Commanders RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. (9%) has had either double-digit carries or a TD in each of his last three games, per FantasyPros’ Pat Fitzmaurice. Washington’s backfield has seemingly shifted in his favor, as he hit a season-high 53% backfield carry share in Week 11 while Jacory Croskey-Merritt’s fell to 32%, his lowest since Austin Ekeler’s injury, per Fantasy Points’ Ryan Heath. Bid 20%.

Bears RB Kyle Monangai (55%) led the team’s RBs in snaps, carries and routes on Sunday while also scoring the team's lone rushing TD. He has a tough matchup against the Eagles this week, but the rookie has run for a TD in each of the last three games and handled 12+ carries in three of the last four contests, per NFL.com’s Dan Parr. Bid 20%.

  • Check if Cardinals RB Trey Benson (56%) is available. He’s still on IR but is expected to be activated this week and should head Arizona’s backfield committee. Bid 50%.

  • Other clear handcuffs that might still be available to stash (in order): Tyler Allgeier (33%), Blake Corum (14%), Brian Robinson Jr. (22%), Tank Bigsby (20%), Bhayshul Tuten (30%), Emanuel Wilson (75%), Keaton Mitchell (1%), Ray Davis (5%), Tyjae Spears (37%), Isaiah Davis (6%), Ollie Gordon II (7%), Devin Singletary (35%), and Jaleel McLaughlin (1%). Bid 5+%.
