STARTS & SITS 🧐

Quarterback

Brock Purdy // Thearon W. Henderson, Getty Images

✅ Start ‘Em

Brock Purdy vs. ARI: “San Francisco's implied team total (28) is the 3rd-highest in Week 3, and Arizona's secondary (already bad) just lost top corner Will Johnson to IR. The Cardinals rank in the bottom-8 in yards per pass attempt and TD rate allowed through two weeks. This is about as clean a smash spot as you'll find.” — Fantasy Life’s Matthew Berry

Patrick Mahomes @ MIA: The Dolphins defense has allowed more than 21 fantasy PPG to opposing QBs after two weeks, and no defense in the league has allowed a higher EPA per dropback, per SI’s Michael Fabiano.

Justin Herbert @ BUF: Even as massive underdogs, the Chargers have an implied team total of 21.5 against a Buffalo defense that ranks 28th in EPA per dropback allowed and has faced the 5th-most pass attempts through two weeks, per NBC Sports’ Kyle Dvorchak. It’s now or never for this Chargers offense.

❌ Sit ‘Em

Bo Nix vs. LAR: Nix has now scored fewer than 20 fantasy points in eight of his past 10 regular season games going back to last season, per CBS Sports’ Jamey Eisenberg. It’s tough to bank on him breaking that trend against a stout Rams D.

Baker Mayfield vs. MIN: The Vikings lead the league in pressure rate, getting to opposing passers on just over half of their dropbacks. Mayfield has been dreadful when pressured, averaging 4.9 yards per attempt while completing 52.9% of his passes, per Kyle Dvorchak.

Jameis Winston & Cam Ward: This Titans @ Giants matchup should have some rough weather, with the forecast calling for rain, low 60s, and wind gusts as high as 41 MPH.

😴 Sleepers

Tyler Shough vs. LV: Not only does he lead the league in passing through two weeks, but going back to last season, Shough is the 1st player in NFL history with 3,000+ passing yards on 67%+ through his first 13 career games, per The Fantasy Footballers’ Mike Wright.

Kyler Murray @ TB: “Murray is out of concussion protocol and facing a Tampa defense that's been struggling so much, they just let Deshaun Watson finish as a top-12 fantasy QB in Week 2.” — Yahoo’s Justin Boone

Running Back

Chuba Hubbard // Lester Barnes, Carolina Panthers

✅ Start ‘Em

Chuba Hubbard @ CLE: Jonathon Brooks is on IR, so this backfield is all Hubbard’s now. He’s averaged 13.5 touches and 75.5 total yards as the RB8 in fantasy PPG. Among 43 qualifying backs, Hubbard ranks 17th in yards after contact per attempt and 15th in missed tackle rate. He should have another strong outing against a Browns run defense that has allowed the 6th-highest explosive run rate, the 4th-highest rushing success rate, and the 10th-highest missed tackle rate, per FantasyPros’ Derek Brown.

Jaylen Warren vs. CIN: The Bengals have allowed a league-high 15 receptions to RBs this season, after allowing the 7th-most in 2025, per Fantasy Points’ Joe Dolan. The Steelers’ offense is ugly, but this could potentially be a huge role for Warren with Rico Dowdle out.

David Montgomery vs. IND: The Colts’ defense is in shambles to start the season, allowing 5.4 yards per carry and the 3rd-most fantasy points to RBs through two games, per The Fantasy Footballers’ Andy Holloway.

❌ Sit ‘Em

Javonte Williams vs. BAL (in Brazil): Without multi-time Pro Bowl guard Tyler Smith in the lineup, Williams is averaging three YPC, per RotoBaller’s Andrew Ball. Today he’ll take on Baltimore, who was already stout against the run and is poised to get Pro Bowl DT Nnamdi Madubuike back in the lineup.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt vs. SEA: The Seahawks have allowed the 5th-fewest rushing yards so far this season, per RotoBaller’s Joey Pollizze, and were one of the best defenses against fantasy RBs last season, too.

Bhayshul Tuten vs. NE: Jacksonville’s backfield has been a true 50/50 split, so it’ll be tough to trust Tuten against a New England defense that’s allowed the 6th-fewest fantasy points to opposing backs and zero rushing TDs through the first two weeks, per Pollizze.

😴 Sleepers

Quinshon Judkins: After tough matchups on the road against the Jags and Bucs, Judkins gets a Panthers defense allowing the most fantasy points to opposing RBs, per Justin Boone. If he’s going to turn things around, it’s now.

Blake Corum @ DEN: This is a deeper play, but Corum is seeing a 24% touch share and the Broncos have allowed the 2nd-highest EPA per rush, per Michael Fabiano.

Wide Receiver

Ladd McConkey // Gary A. Vasquez, Imagn Images

✅ Start ‘Em

Ladd McConkey @ BUF: “The two WR1s to face Buffalo so far—Houston's Nico Collins and Detroit's Amon-Ra St. Brown—totaled 23 targets, 16 catches, 217 yards, three TDs and 56.4 fantasy points. As long as he's healthy entering Week 3, McConkey will have a high-volume opportunity in a prospectively high-scoring game.” — NFL.com’s Matt Okada

Deebo Samuel Sr. vs. ARI: In Week 2, Deebo saw his route share increase to 80% and should see more of the same with Mike Evans limited in practice this week. Meanwhile, Arizona has allowed the 14th-most fantasy points per target and the 11th-most yards per target to perimeter WRs, per Derek Brown.

Josh Downs vs. HOU: The Texans have surprisingly struggled against opposing receivers in two games, allowing four TDs, per Jamey Eisenberg. Look for Downs to capitalize on his opportunity with Alec Pierce on IR.

❌ Sit ‘Em

Terry McLaurin vs. SEA: “Seattle has allowed the fewest fantasy points to WRs through two weeks, and opposing WRs are averaging a league-low 7.9 yards per reception against them. Washington also carries the lowest implied team total in Week 3 (17 points). Tough spot from every angle.” — Matthew Berry

Rome Odunze @ PHI: Despite running the most routes among Bears WRs through two games, Odunze has just five catches on seven targets, per Matt Okada. He’ll be especially hard to trust with either Tyson Bagent or Case Keenum at QB.

Malik Nabers vs. TEN: As I mentioned with this game’s QBs, it’ll be tough to pass in this Nor’easter storm.

😴 Sleepers

Rashod Bateman @ DAL: Zay Flowers will be a game-time decision, and could be limited if he does play, so Bateman will look to repeat his Week 2 performance where led the team with nine targets, which he turned into seven catches, 88 yards and a TD.

Dontayvion Wicks @ CHI: Wicks is the 2nd-most-targeted pass-catcher in Philly (behind only DeVonta Smith) and his 21.0 yards per catch rank 4th in the NFL and 2nd-most of wideouts with more than five catches, per USA Today’s Jack McKessy.

Tight End

Dalton Schultz // Getty Images

✅ Start ‘Em

Dalton Schultz @ IND: With Nico Collins out of the lineup last week, Schultz was targeted on 30% of his routes and finished with a team-high 28% target share. Today he’ll face a Colts team that, so far this season, has allowed the 4th most yards to TEs, per Fantasy Life’s Matthew Berry.

Travis Kelce @ MIA: He currently leads the NFL in YAC (wtf?) and has 30% of the Chiefs’ receiving yards through two weeks, per Andy Holloway. KC also carries an implied team total of 28.5 today, so you want pieces of this passing offense.

Oronde Gadsden II @ BUF: Since he entered the NFL, Gadsden ranks 3rd among TEs in yards per target, and through 2 weeks, the Chargers rank top 10 in TE target share, per Matthew Berry. With David Njoku and Charlie Kolar both out, expect those targets to go to OGII.

❌ Sit ‘Em

Colston Loveland vs. PHI: The Eagles have allowed the fewest points to TEs after two weeks, per Michael Fabiano, so don’t expect Loveland to get back on track in this one—especially with a backup or 3rd-string QB throwing him the ball.

Harold Fannin Jr. vs. CAR: The Panthers have surrendered the 9th-fewest fantasy points to opposing TEs, per Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox.

Brenton Strange vs. NE: New England has allowed just 52 yards and zero scores to opposing TEs through two weeks, per USA Today’s Tom Viera.

😴 Sleepers

Pat Freiermuth vs. CIN: This is your weekly reminder to start whatever TE is playing the Bengals. Cincy had the worst fantasy defense against TEs last year, and are at it again this season after giving up 12 catches for 140 yards to Dalton Schultz in Week 2. Meanwhile, Patty Fries is the TE9 in expected fantasy PPG and the TE11 in actual fantasy PPG, per Joe Dolan. In Week 7 last season, The Muth went for 5/111/2 against these Bengals.

Terrance Ferguson @ DEN: Puka Nacua is out again. Meanwhile, Turd Ferguson has scored four TDs in his young career and they've all occurred in games where either Nacua or Davante Adams missed, per Justin Boone.

BEST BETS 💰

2026 Record: 4-2

Pittsburgh Punt Fest?

Joe Burrow // Sam Greene, USA Today

🥇 Bengals @ Steelers UNDER 42.5 total points.

  • Both defenses can get to the QB, and both the Steelers and Bengals offenses are bottom-4 in success rate on plays where the time to throw is less than 2.5 seconds, per The Ringer’s Anthony Dabbundo.

🥈 Seahawks (-7.5) @ Commanders

  • Seattle’s heavy Cover 6 scheme is allowing only 125 passing yards a game and the Commanders have not thrown a TD against a Cover 6 defense since Week 13 of 2024, per The Athletic’s Vic Tafur.

🥉 Jahmyr Gibbs OVER 83.5 rushing yards vs. Jets

  • Detroit enters as 6.5-point home favorites, so expect a positive game script with plenty of rush attempts for Gibbs. Plus, the Jets have allowed a 10+ yard run at the 8th-highest rate (13.3%), per Fantasy Points’ John Hansen.
