šŸˆ Trey Benson & Week 4 Waivers

Is the Cardinals RB a league-winner? Plus other players to add ahead of Week 4, along with D/ST streamers and deeeeeep dives.

Good morning.

Week 3 was on drugs. For a good two and half hours on Sunday it felt like I was watching my shitty high school football team—terrible QB play, Swiss cheese o-lines, turnovers left and right… until the witchiest of all witching hours that had three blocked FGs and some insane comeback wins.

Even my Browns somehow got a dub?! They say ā€œany given Sundayā€ for a reason I guess…

Hopefully your fantasy team got a dub, too. But if not, there are a few gems on the waiver wire to help your chances in Week 4. So let’s dive in…

Running Back

Trey Benson // Joe Camporeale, Imagn Images

Cardinals RB Trey Benson (55%) is the new starting RB in Arizona after James Conner went down with a season-ending ankle injury. Benson has played well on his limited opportunities, totalling 125 rushing yards (6.0 YPC) and eight catches (11 targets) for 45 receiving yards through three weeks. He may already be on a bench in your league, but if he’s available, this is the type of opportunity you dump your FAAB for.

Rams RB Blake Corum (12%) has now put up 97 yards and a TD over the last two games. He’s approaching FLEX with benefits territory thanks to his increasing role in the offense and league-winning upside should anything happen to Kyren Williams.

Texans RB Woody Marks (9%) is creepin’ up on Nick Chubb…

Bears RB Kyle Monangai (8%) appears to be the handcuff in Chicago and could start to see a bigger role soon. Despite averaging the 4th-most rushing yards before contact, per FantasyPros’ Ellis Bryn Johnson, D’Andre Swift has been rushing for the yards blocked in front of him, and nothing else. The Bears dropped 31 points on Dallas, yet Swift finished with just 13 carries for 33 yards.

Dolphins RB Ollie Gordon II (23%) got a season-high nine carries last Thursday, despite the return of Jaylen Wright. Gordon has four red zone carries to De’Von Achane’s two, as well as a 2-0 lead on carries inside the five, per Kyle Dvorchak. He’s the clear RB2 in Miami with a hold on the short yardage role as well.

  • Stash Titans RB Tyjae Spears (28%) if he was dropped. He could be returning soon and should work his way into a 1B role with Tony Pollard.
