Good morning.

Trying to distract yourself from the injuries that have destroyed your fantasy team? Well, how about some kicker news! …The Rams have released the 6’0ā€ 245 lbs Harrison Mevis (aka ā€œThe Thiccer Kickerā€) and signed the 5’7ā€ 156 lbs Blake Grupe (no cool nickname). That has to be the biggest size discrepancy in the history of kicker transactions.

But enough about kickers. Let’s shift our focus to things that actually matter for fantasy football, like buys, sells, holds, and other notable trends around the league.

Let’s get after it…

See What's Moving Before Wall Street Wakes Up

Most of us hear about a stock move after it happens — an earnings report, an AI contract, a sector suddenly running — and by the time the news reaches us, the opportunity is gone.

We created Elite Trade Club to fix that.

Each trading day, our team publishes a pre-market briefing built for active traders: stocks surging or collapsing before the open, key earnings that could move markets, under-the-radar companies gaining institutional attention, and the macro events worth watching today.

MARKET TRENDS 🧐

Running Back

Tute-Tute // USA TODAY

šŸ’° Buy high on Bhayshul Tuten. He’s headlining the RB section of this newsletter for back-to-back weeks, and for good reason… Over the last three games, he has snatched just about all of the base-down work (54% rush attempts -> 68% -> 92%) from Chris Rodriguez (19% -> 24% -> 8%) and has seen his route share increase in each of those games on top of it (28% -> 41% -> 48%), per Fantasy Life’s Peter Overzet. The breakout is coming. He has a difficult Week 6 matchup (HOU) followed by a bye, but has a juicy post-bye schedule on tap (IND, BAL, NYG, TEN x2).

šŸ“‰ Sell Chase Brown. *sigh* It might be time for me to admit defeat on this one. I was all in on Brown this season, but he’s averaging well under four yards per attempt and three yards after contact per attempt, per FantasyPros’ Jim Moorman. This is a pass-happy offense where Brown is, at best, the 3rd receiving option. Plus, he played a season-low 59% of snaps in Week 5. Don’t sell for scraps, though — the RB landscape is barren. I’d settle for no worse than Tuten.

šŸ’° Buy low on Jordan Mason. Before he was placed on IR with a thumb injury, he appeared to be Minnesota's top option on the ground. He scored a TD and handled 15 opportunities in Week 1 with just a 45% snap share. He’s due to return in Week 7 after the Vikings’ bye, just in time for a cakewalk schedule—seven of his final 11 games will be against teams allowing 18+ fantasy PPG to opposing backs, per RotoBaller’s Jorden Hill.

šŸ“‰ Sell Ollie Gordon II. He’s finished as the RB13 or better in three games since De’Von Achane went down, but don’t forget he’s scored a TD in each of those games — a feat that’ll be hard to come by consistently when playing for a team like the Dolphins. If someone in your league is a true believer, sell high.

Wide Receiver

LBIII // USA TODAY

šŸ’° Buy Luther Burden III. He leads the Bears in targets and fantasy points, and finally got the usage we’ve been waiting for, earning a career-high 77% snap share in Week 5. Unfortunately, that was with Case Keenum and T-Bag at QB. But Caleb Williams is likely to return this week, which bodes well for Burden and the Bears’ receivers, who have the 6th-easiest remaining strength of schedule, including the easiest fantasy playoff schedule, per NBC Sports’ Alfredo Brown.

šŸ“‰ Sell Denzel Boston. He’s a major buy in dynasty, but in redraft, he feels a little fluky. The rookie has overachieved in a Browns offense that's only generated 202 passing yards per game, per Yahoo’s Justin Boone. Boston has been held to three catches or less in three of his first five appearances, but salvaged two of those days with TDs.

šŸ’° Buy Carnell Tate. He plummeted back to earth last week, but the rookie’s rest-of-season schedule is the easiest among all fantasy WRs. The Titans get to play Indianapolis twice, Cleveland, Dallas, and Washington. They also play Jacksonville twice and Detroit once, which are projected to be very pass-heavy game scripts for Tennessee. (h/t Jim Moorman)

šŸ“‰ Sell low on Jaylen Waddle. ā€œEven with Sean Payton taking over the playcalling, Waddle managed a meager 65% snap share and just 18.5% target share. On the season, he’s 40th in target share (17.9%) and 37th in team receiving yards (21.7%). Bo Nix looks bad. The playcalling has been bland, and Waddle has more drops this season (four) than TD receptions (one), per Alfredo Brown.

šŸ’° Buy Michael Wilson. With Marvin Harrison Jr. out the door, Wilson was the unquestioned alpha in Week 5, capitalizing with… *checks notes* …four catches for 30 yards?! Don't one fluke overshadow his volume and production the two weeks prior, when he posted 11 catches for 89 yards and a TD in Week 3 and seven grabs for 95 yards in Week 4. He's tied for 4th in the league in targets (10.2 per game), per Justin Boone, and is a high-end WR2 with low-end WR1 upside going forward.

QB / TE

Jalen Hurts // NFL.com

šŸ’° Buy low on Jalen Hurts. As a full-time starter, Hurts has never finished lower than QB9. Plus, the Eagles should be back at full strength this week with DeVonta Smith and Saquon Barkley potentially returning to the lineup. It also helps that Hurts’ next four opponents (CAR, DAL, WAS, NYG) are all in the top-10 in fantasy points allowed to QBs, and over the remainder of the season, he has the 3rd-easiest strength of schedule for a fantasy QB, per Alfredo Brown.

šŸ“‰ Sell Jacoby Brissett. His garbage time stats have been nice, but the Cardinals are 1-4 with a putrid -54 point differential. It's a matter of when, not if, they go to 3rd round rookie Carson Beck just to see what they have. Get something in return for Brissett while you can. (h/t USA Today’s Everett Cook)

šŸ’° Buy low on Tyler Shough. Don’t be discouraged by his rough showing against Minnesota. The Vikings have been the most difficult opponent for opposing QB this season, allowing nearly three fantasy PPG less than the 2nd-toughest team. That’ll shift in Week 6 when New Orleans takes on the Giants, who are giving up the 9th-most fantasy points to QBs, per Jorden Hill. Expect Shough to bounce back quickly on an offense with the 2nd-highest passing play % that’s getting it’s rookie 1st round WR (Jordyn Tyson) back off IR soon.

šŸ’° Buy high on Isaiah Likely. He leads all TEs in target share (28.3%) and has the 2nd-most air yards share (22.6%) and 3rd-most expected fantasy PPG among TEs (15.4), per Fantasy Points Data (via The Athletic’s Joseph Bryan). Some may not fully trust Likely or this Giants offense, but he’s a borderline top-5 TE rest-of-season.

šŸ“‰ Sell very high on Sam LaPorta. Only make this move if you have another top-tier option at TE or are very desperate. LaPorta’s a stud and could keep these top-5 TE numbers going, but it’s worth nothing that over the past two weeks (LaPorta's best two games so far), the Lions have faced the Panthers and Cardinals—two of the worst defenses against TEs both last year and this year. After their Week 6 bye, the Lions’ schedule gets tougher, as they take on the Packers (8th-fewest fantasy points allowed to opposing TEs) and the Vikings (4th-fewest), per Jorden Hill.

šŸ’° Buy Brenton Strange. He’s emerged as the clear #2 target on this high-powered Jags offense:

The latest report about ā€œtensionā€ between Joe Buck and Troy Aikman has me thinking…

RANKINGS āœļø

Our Week 6 positional rankings are LIVE. Here are some of the favorite plays from our Rankings Specialist, Anthony…

Jameis Winston (NYG) — QB13 vs. NO:

  • ā€œThe man, the myth, the legend! Somehow, we all knew Jameis was bound to make an appearance in our newsletter at some point, and that time has finally come as he prepares to face the Saints in Week 6. Winston has become an intriguing fantasy option thanks to his willingness to attack downfield and generate explosive passing plays. Facing New Orleans at home, he has an opportunity to outperform his QB13 ranking if the Giants can sustain drives and give him enough passing volume. Turnovers will always be a concern, but Jaboo’s aggressive approach brings the kind of boom-or-bust potential that makes him such an exciting fantasy option. Don't be surprised if Winston finds himself finishing inside the top-10 QBs this week!

Rhamondre Stevenson (NE) — RB11 vs. NYJ:

  • ā€œStevenson has an opportunity to take control of New England's backfield with TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) potentially out ā€˜multiple weeks.’ With a larger share of carries, goal-line opportunities, and receiving work, Stevenson has a realistic chance to finish inside the top-8 at the position this week against the lowly Jets.ā€

Christian Watson (GB) — WR14 vs. DAL:

  • ā€œWatson is quickly establishing himself as one of the most dangerous deep threats in football, and this week's matchup against a struggling Cowboys defense has all the makings of another explosive performance. Dallas enters Week 6 ranked 31st in total defense, allowing nearly 400 yards per game. Meanwhile, Watson is coming off a monster Week 5 outing, hauling in six receptions for 143 yards and two TDs against Chicago. Through five games, he's already accumulated 474 receiving yards and six TDs, showing just how dangerous his connection with Jordan Love has become. Watson has a legitimate opportunity to deliver another WR1 performance and potentially finish as the top receiver in fantasy this week.ā€

Dallas Goedert (PHI) — TE8 vs. CAR:

  • ā€œGoedert has an opportunity to play a major role in Philadelphia's passing attack against Carolina, particularly with the Eagles dealing with injuries at their skill positions. His ability to work the middle of the field and contribute in the red zone makes him an appealing fantasy option. Last week, Goedert saw a season-high nine targets, hauling in six receptions. If Philly's targets continue to become more concentrated, Goedert has a legitimate chance to outperform his TE8 ranking and finish as a top-5 TE this week.ā€
