MARKET TRENDS 🧐

Running Back

💰 Buy Saquon Barkley. He hasn’t lived up to his name value so far this season, but he’s still the RB13 and has a top-10 Utilization Report Score amongst all backs, per Fantasy Life’s Christopher Allen. Even with his “struggles,” he won’t be cheap to acquire. But if you can get a slight discount, it’s worth betting on the talent, the workload, and the hope that this Philly offense will figure it out down the stretch.

📉 Sell Kimani Vidal. “He outperformed Hassan Haskins, but didn’t show starting-caliber traits. He offers burst and receiving ability but lacks the instincts and suddenness to consistently create against quality defenses.” — Draft Sharks’ Shane Hallam

You don’t need much suddenness to run for 124 yards on the Dolphins… so sell high on Vidal before he regresses to the mean. The Chargers are rumored to be in the market for a RB at the deadline, too, and even if they don’t acquire anyone new, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Haskins mixed in more often.

💰 Buy low on Ken Walker. His usage has been frustrating—it seems the Seahawks are determined to get Zach Charbonnet involved no matter what—so don’t overspend. But Walker is PFF's highest-graded rusher this season (84.6), so the coaching staff has to come to their senses sooner or later, right?!?!

📉 Sell Alvin Kamara. “The 30-year-old has been held under 50 rushing yards in four of his six outings and hasn’t reached the end zone since Week 1. If you can still take advantage of his name value and move him as part of a package for someone with more upside.” — Yahoo’s Justin Boone

💰 Buy Jaylen Warren. Despite the strong performance from Kenneth Gainwell in his absence, Warren returned to starter duties last week against Cleveland. His production should pick back up tonight against Cincinnati, who has seen the most rush attempts while surrendering the 2nd-most rushing yards, 5th-most receiving yards, and the most total TDs to opposing RBs, per Roto Baller’s Jorden Hill.

📉 Sell Rico Dowdle. This is the most obvious sell high in the history of sell highs… Uncle Rico has 473 all-purpose yards over the last two weeks, but that came against two of the worst defenses in the league (Miami and Dallas)—plus, Chuba Hubbard could return this week. Your leaguemates will know this too, so don’t think you’re getting RB1 value in return, but throw some offers out there and see how much you can get for him.

🤫 Stash Isaiah Davis and Kendre Miller. Rumors of Breece Hall and Alvin Kamara possibly getting traded are everywhere, so it’s worth stashing their backups just in case. Jerome Ford is another name to watch in deeper leagues—if he gets shipped to a team like the Chargers, he could have some value.
