Good morning.

It’s hard to believe we’ve already passed the halfway mark of the fantasy football season. Feels like just yesterday we were doubting JSN, hyping up Chase Brown (I still believe!) and actually drafting Chargers. What a world.

But enough looking back — fantasy football trade deadlines are on the horizon, so it’s time to make some moves

Let’s get after it…

MARKET TRENDS 🧐

Running Back

Quinshon Judkins // Getty Images

šŸ’° Buy low on Quinshon Judkins. The Browns o-line blows (23rd in yards before contact and 3rd-highest ā€œstuffā€ rate, per Fantasy Points Data), so don’t overspend for this one. But Judkins will take on the easiest RB schedule for the remainder of the fantasy calendar, starting this week with a Saints defense that's the most generous opponent to his position, per Yahoo’s Justin Boone.

šŸ“‰ Sell Derrick Henry. He averages just 13.8 fantasy PPG in 18 losses since becoming a Raven in 2024 compared to 21.2 fantasy PPG in 24 wins, per Fantasy Points’ John Hansen. With both Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley likely out for the season, the team traded for Jacoby Brissett. That should help them remain competent, but likely not consistent winners like we originally expected.

šŸ’° Buy Chase Brown (still). I feel like a broken record, but this is bound to work eventually. Since the bye week, Brown has a 73% snap share, leads all RBs in targets, and is 13th in expected fantasy PPG, per NBC Sports’ Alfredo Brown. He hasn’t scored a TD since Week 1, despite the Bengals being 5th in the league in points. That’s bound to regress to the mean eventually.

āœ‹ Hold Tony Pollard. After back-to-back blow up weeks, Pollard’s 2026 stock has never been higher. But the Titans play Jacksonville twice in three weeks, plus Detroit in the final week of the fantasy regular season, which means more negative game scripts (h/t FantasyPros’ Jim Moorman). That could lead some to want to sell, but I’m holding here. Trade rumors have been swirling, with many matching Pollard with either Denver or Green Bay. Either of those landing spots would be a huge boost to his R.O.S. value.

āž• Add/Start Chris Rodriguez Jr. As pointed out by beat reporter John Shipley, in 24 instances, there hasn’t been a single player on Liam Coen’s Jags that has played after being listed as a DNP at practice all week—such is the case for Bhayshul Tuten. Even if he plays, look for the team to run the clock out with their healthier backup in what could be a blowout against the Ravens.

Wide Receiver

Parker Washington // Corey Perrine, Florida Times-Union

šŸ’° Buy Parker Washington. Among WRs with at least 100 routes, Washington ranks 15th in yards per route run (2.27) and 11th in EPA per route run (0.11). The only problem? The Jags are just TOO good. Washington currently ranks 87th among all WRs in 4th quarter routes (33), while Trevor Lawrence is averaging just 5.1 4th quarter dropbacks per game, the fewest among qualified signal callers this season, per Fantasy Life’s Adam Pfeifer. He’ll get back to producing eventually once the Jags find themselves in some more competitive games.

šŸ“‰ Sell Panthers WRs. Bryce Young has come back to earth after a hot start. Plus, Carolina has the 3rd-hardest remaining strength of schedule for fantasy WRs, per Alfredo Brown, including a fantasy championship week matchup against the Seahawks.

šŸ’° Buy Carnell Tate. The rookie missed Week 8 and is on a bye in Week 9, which should make him more affordable. He’s 4th in air yards share, 8th in team yards share, 11th in 1st-read target share, and 15th in overall target share. Cam Ward showed signs of life last week and could continue to throw more if Tennessee deals Tony Pollard. Bet on Tate if you need to make a playoff push, as his schedule from Weeks 10-14 is the easiest among all fantasy WRs, per Brown.

šŸ“‰ Sell Eagles WRs. Joe Milton is taking over for Tanner McKee at QB, and while Milton is fun for fantasy (stash him) thanks to his mobility and cannon for an arm, accuracy is a major concern. He may hit the odd deep ball, I’d be hesitant to trust him to support the likes of DeVonta Smith (when healthy) and Makai Lemon.

šŸ’° Buy Jameson Williams. Jamo is the WR5 in fantasy PPG over his past three last three games played (20.6), with five TDs in those contests. He runs a route on 87.4% of dropbacks (WR7) and has 35.5% of Detroit’s air yards on the season, including 62.2% in Week 8, per The Athletic’s Joseph Bryan.

āž• Add Germie Bernard. He might be on waivers after back-to-back rough games, but Pittsburgh's wideouts have the No. 1 easiest remaining slate—with the lone exception being a Week 12 date with the Broncos. The rookie will face five of the top 10 easiest fantasy defenses for receivers, per Justin Boone, as well as another positive opponent in the Bengals, whom he scored a TD against earlier this season.

QB / TE

T-Law // NFL.com

šŸ’° Buy Trevor Lawrence:

His per play numbers are ELITE. But much like Parker Washington, the team just doesn’t need him in the 4th quarter. I’m buying with the hopes that we see other teams start to compete with them eventually.

šŸ“‰ Sell Jayden Daniels (if your team is really good). The rest of his fantasy regular season schedule is pretty soft, but his playoff schedule is brutal (ATL, MIN, JAX). Atlanta’s numbers against the pass are a little skewed by last week’s monsoon in Tampa, but they’re still a fairly strong pass D. Then there’s Minnesota, who gives up the fewest fantasy PPG to QBs, while Jacksonville gives up the 9th-fewest, per RotoBaller’s Jorden Hill.

šŸ’° Buy Jared Goff. This is another classic ā€œbuy the really good player who had one bad gameā€ move. It won’t work on sharp managers, but you can definitely pry him off one of your in-laws in your cheap family league. Goff struggled against Minnesota (who doesn’t?), mostly because he’s one of the most pressure sensitive QBs in the league—his fantasy points per dropback falls from 0.58 (QB6) in a clean pocket to 0.35 (QB18) when pressured, per Joseph Bryan.

šŸ“‰ Sell Tucker Kraft. ā€œHis back-to-back games with a TD came against two of the most favorable defenses for TEs in the Lions and Panthers. Now, Kraft will have to contend with the most difficult fantasy TE schedule over the next two months, including a brutal next four weeks vs. the Patriots, the Vikings, a bye, and the Rams.ā€ — Justin Boone

šŸ’° Buy Tyler Warren. ā€œWarren came back in Week 8 after a two-game absence due to a groin injury and saw 10 targets (33.3% target share, 33.6% of the Colts’ air yards), but caught just four for 18 yards. Don’t let the box score fool you. On the season, he’s the TE4 in target share (22.3%), TE4 in route share (80.6%) and TE5 in expected fantasy PPG (13.0).ā€ — Joseph Bryan

RANKINGS āœļø

Our Week 9 positional rankings are LIVE. Here are where some notable players fall, according to our Rankings Specialist, Anthony…

SMASH START — Jared Goff (DET) @ MIA | QB6

  • ā€œAfter a disappointing Week 8, Goff is primed for a big bounce-back against Miami. Through seven games, he’s thrown for 1,964 yards, 15 TDs and just one INT, averaging 280.6 passing yards and 20.3 fantasy PPG. The Dolphins have been a dream matchup for opposing QBs, allowing the 5th-most fantasy PPG (20.6) while surrendering 16 passing TDs and a staggering 119.5 opposing passer rating. With three 300+ yard performances already this season, Goff has legitimate Top 5 upside against a struggling Miami secondary. Fire him up with confidence!

SELL HIGH — D’Andre Swift (CHI) vs. TB | RB11

  • ā€œSwift's fantasy value is soaring after an explosive Week 8 performance, rushing for 69 yards and three TDs on 27 carries, adding two receptions for 10 yards and finishing with 26.9 half-PPR fantasy points. He's now scored six rushing TDs over his last four games, but his recent production has been heavily dependent on finding the end zone. Despite 27 carries last week, Swift averaged just 2.6 yards per attempt. More importantly, Kyle Monangai is nearing a potential return after missing four consecutive games. Before his injury, Monangai had accumulated 324 rushing yards and three TDs on 60 carries (5.4 YPC), compared to Swift's 311 yards on 69 carries (4.5 YPC) over the same stretch. With Monangai potentially reclaiming a significant share of Chicago's backfield touches after the Week 10 bye, I'd capitalize on Swift's recent TD explosion and explore selling high before his workload takes a hit.ā€

BUY LOW — Nico Collins (HOU) @ LAC | WR11

  • ā€œCollins has struggled to find consistency this season, but his recent dip in production presents an excellent buying opportunity. Through five games, Collins has recorded 24 receptions for 329 yards and three TDs on 35 targets, averaging 13.7 yards per reception and 12.8 half-PPR fantasy PPG. After scoring three TDs in his first two full games, Collins has managed just 10 receptions for 136 yards over his last three outings, averaging only 45.3 receiving yards per game. His Week 7 performance was particularly disappointing, finishing with just two catches for six yards on five targets. However, Collins remains Houston's primary receiving threat, averaging seven targets per game with an impressive 9.4 yards per target. The Chargers are allowing approximately 30.6 PPR points and 133 receiving yards per game to opposing WRs, presenting an opportunity for Collins to bounce back. With Houston coming off its bye week, I'd look to capitalize on Collins' declining trade value before he returns to WR1 production.ā€

SIT — Dalton Kincaid (BUF) @ MIN | TE15

  • ā€œKincaid is coming off an impressive Week 8 performance, producing 18.6 PPR fantasy points against Baltimore. He's also drawn 14 targets over his last two games, making him a tempting starting option. However, Minnesota has been the toughest defense in football against opposing TEs, allowing a league-low 7.1 fantasy PPG to the position. Not a single TE has surpassed 9.5 fantasy points against the Vikings this season. Despite Kincaid's recent momentum, this matchup presents serious concerns for his fantasy ceiling. I'd look elsewhere at tight end in Week 9.ā€
