Good morning.

You’d think with the clocks turning back an hour, I’d manage to get this newsletter out on time. But in my defense, I was up all night heartbroken after watching the Blue Jays lose Game 7 to the Dodgers in extra innings. Between that and daylight savings, I have no idea what day, hour, or dimension I’m in.

Anyway… speaking of pain and suffering—let’s talk fantasy football.

āœ… Start ā€˜Em

Sam Darnold @ WAS: At some point, we have to admit that Darnold’s really good. He’s the QB13 on the year and has 20+ fantasy point in three of his last five starts. He’s also 2nd in yards per attempt and 9th in fantasy points per dropback, per Blitz Sports Media’s Ryan Linkletter. Tonight, Darnold’s a smash start against a Washington defense allowing the 5th-most fantasy points and 4th-most passing TDs to opposing QBs.

Jared Goff vs. MIN: The Vikings deploy the NFL’s highest rate of two-high looks (69.4%), and Goff leads the NFL in adjusted net yards per attempt against such coverage (8.44) while ranking top-4 in completion percentage over expectation (+8.9%) and highly accurate throw rate (67.4%), per Fantasy Points’ John Hansen. Goff also feasts both at home and against pressure, and Minnesota blitzes at the highest rate in the league (43.8%).

Caleb Williams @ CIN: This feels risky after two straight weeks without a passing TD, but Williams should bounce back against the Bengals, who rank 31st in pass defense DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average) and allow the 7th-most fantasy points to opposing QBs, per FTN Fantasy’s Tyler Orginski.
